The search giant has started rolling out this feature for the people in the U.S. “We’ve probably all gone through this before: you do a search for something, and the results just don’t seem to be related to what you were looking for,” Elizabeth Tucker, Google Product Manager wrote in a blog post. “Starting today in the U.S., we’re rolling out a new message that lets you know when Google hasn’t been able to find anything that matches your search particularly well.” The following warning message will now appear on the user’s window on the top along with the search results: “It looks like there aren’t any great matches for your search”  While Google will still allow users to go through the results to see if they are helpful to them, the message would be a warning to let them know that the search giant probably couldn’t found what they were looking for. However, it will sometimes provide alternative searches as well as tips on how users could rephrase their queries to better find the information they are looking for. Google says the notification will not appear too often as Search is designed to find the best viable results for the users. It, however, added that the new feature will help users know that the information provided by them to search results is sparse and save their time of going through pages of irrelevant results. “If it turns out that what you were hoping to find just isn’t on the web at all, you can always check back later to see if anyone has created a new article or posted new information that you’ll find helpful,” wrote Tucker. Currently, this is a U.S only feature at launch, and there is no word when it will be rolled out to users outside the U.S.
