The car dubbed as “Cybertruck”, according to Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk, could survive a 9 mm handgun. However, the attempt to prove so failed miserably during the demonstration.

In an effort to demonstrate the car’s durability of its “Armor Glass” windows, Musk ordered Franz von Holzhausen, Tesla’s chief of design, to hit the driver’s side door with a sledgehammer, which did not make a dent. However, the windows shattered when Musk asked Franz to throw a metal ball at the driver’s side window. “Oh my f****** god,” Musk said while laughing after the driver’s side window crashed. “Well, maybe that was a little too hard.” Franz then threw another metal ball at the passenger window, which also broke. “It didn’t go through, so that’s a plus side. Room for improvement,” Musk joked. “We threw wrenches, we threw everything. We even literally threw a kitchen sink at the glass, and it didn’t break. For a little weird reason it broke now, I don’t know why.” However, Musk assured the live audience that Tesla would fix the problem “in post.”

Nothing will break the glass throws metal ball “Oh my fucking God” -Elon pic.twitter.com/YTEl2LDPi8 — dinglederper (@Dinglederper) November 22, 2019 According to Musk, the futuristic vehicle’s design was “influenced” by the Lotus Esprit sportscar that doubled as a submarine in the 1970s James Bond film ‘The Spy Who Loved Me. The truck will start at $39,900 and come in three variants with ranges of 250 miles, 300 miles, and 500 miles. The truck will seat up to six adults and pull a payload of 3,500lbs. Those interested in Cybertruck can pre-order the vehicle on Tesla’s website. The vehicle is not expected to go into production until late 2021.
