In a statement made to Mirror Online, Mitchell added that there are some military officials who have seen the strange UFOs hovering over the area during weapons tests at US missile bases and the famous White Sands Proving Ground in the New Mexico desert, the place where world’s first nuclear bomb was detonated in 1945. Way back in 1971, Mitchell landed on the surface of the moon and has spent around nine hours in the Fra Mauro Highlands of the lunar surface and since then he has been believing the existence of aliens and has been frank enough in expressing his thoughts regarding the so called peace-keeping aliens. Mitchell grew up in New Mexico which was near to the nuclear bomb testing zone as well as Roswell, a city in New Mexico, which is well known for the world’s famous UFO encounters. Mitchell mentioned that there were other people in the military missile testing bases who had heard similar stories regarding the UFOs and ET. “My own experience talking to people has made it clear the ETs had been attempting to keep us from going to war and help create peace on Earth.” Mirror Online, inquired with the former Ministry of Defense UFO researcher, Nick Pope, regarding the claims made by Mitchell. According to Pope, Mitchell is honorable and truthful, besides Pope has also had the opportunity of meeting Mitchell in person. However, Pope is quite skeptical about this theory which claims that the peace-keeping aliens traveled the cosmos just to stop the nuclear war which would have taken place between U.S. and Russia. He said: “But so far as I’m aware, most of his information on this issue comes not from things he’s experienced himself, but from things he’s been told by others. Clearly, because of who he is, he’s had access to government, military and intelligence community personnel at the highest level, but because – quite understandably – he won’t name his sources, we can’t be certain these people were being straight with him, or indeed that they were privy to any classified information about UFOs.” He continued :”‘the idea that peace-loving extraterrestrials are here to warn humanity about our destructive ways‘ is popular with those who take a New Age view of the UFO phenomenon.” “It’s a nice thought, but if I’m being skeptical, I’d point out that it’s almost exactly the plot of the classic 1951 sci-fi movie The Day the Earth Stood Still,” he continued. “There have certainly been some intriguing UFO sightings around nuclear facilities, and around military bases more generally, but an alternative explanation is that some of these sightings are attributable to espionage activity involving secret spy planes or drones.” “Given that the Universe is around 14 billion years old, if we’re being visited, it’s unlikely we’re dealing with a civilisation just a few hundred years ahead of us, so stories of aliens managing to disrupt a few of our weapons tests are far-fetched. Chances are they’d be millions of years ahead of us and could do anything they wanted to.” Our Universe and Aliens are all a mystery till date to humans and even if we consider that aliens did land up on Earth with the purpose of disarming the U.S. military weapons we should be thankful to them for stopping this destruction, isn’t it? I personally think we are drastically in need of peace loving humans as well aliens to bring harmony on our Planet Earth. Readers, what are your opinions regarding these Aliens, do you consider them as peace lovers and supporters of planet Earth or are they some spying agents just waiting to destroy our planet and humans!
